We Are So Blessed!

Over the past month, we have truly been so blessed by our family and friends...the gifts they have already given us...the help preparing for "baby May"...and the advice. Here are some pictures to tell the story of the many blessings we have been given:

May 21 - Melodie's middle school students at CCS planned and carried out a most heartfelt baby shower for all the classes to enjoy, complete with a "Green" theme. We especially appreciated the "hand-me-downs" or hand made gifts that took some extra time and effort on the part of the students/faculty. Here's a picture of a blanket Joy made from some reused clothes/fabric given by some students.

June 12 - Nathan's family threw us a baby shower complete with many games to play and much good food to eat. They even suprised us with the stroller and car seat that we were hoping to get. We already made sure the stroller fit in the trunks of our cars (success!) and the car seat is ready for our baby now in our back seat (2 months early...=). We are also excited to use what has become the “May/Blaine” family bassinet, used now by the family for over 50 years. Here's Nathan with some of our new gifts.

June 15 – We joined our Sunday School class for a picnic at Westover where they wished us “baby blessings” and gave us the gift of a glider/rocking chair - a wonderful addition to the baby room! =)

This past week, we have also been blessed by friends and family helping us to paint and prepare our baby room. After much deliberation, we went with the paint color “Aloe Vera” for the walls. We have a good start to the room, with furniture already stuffed in and just enough room for a crib, eventually.

Now, we finally have some time to take a few mini-vacations over these next two weeks to relax and prepare our minds a bit more for our “bundle of May!”
