First Trip Out!

Yesterday we had a very eventful outing. On our list: Pediatrician, Costco, and Chiropractor.

But first Nathan's paternal Grandmother stopped by to hold her newest Great Grandson for the first time. There's nothing like celebrating 4 generations! She is exactly half way between our Noah and his 4th Great Grandfather Noah Crider.
The pediatrician visit was great! He told us we were doing everything right... and Noah is already back up to his birth weight at 8 lbs 3 oz. Something that usually takes 10-14 days. Go Mom!!!

At Costco... we picked up some pictures that correspond with Noah's birth announcement. Visitors will get one and anyone else we run into the next few weeks. Sorry... it cannot be mailed(Hint). Don't worry... those who visited us in the hospital get one too. =)

Then to the Chiropractor. As you can imagine, the baby can have a good but of subluxation, or misalignment in the body from the birthing process. This visit is to get Noah's life off to a great start with perfect alignment and therefore the muscles, nervous system, and all other organs functioning at their highest level to make living easier and more comfortable. So... the right hand of the Chiropractor was on a pressure point that allow Noah to completely go limp. (I gotta find that spot!) and then his left hand did the adjustment behind his ear by gently pushing and allowing the vertebrae themselves to move into place. Cool!!!! His adjustment was great and that meant no more visits this week! What a great baby!!!

Then back to home... but about 1 1/2 hours later than we expected. There, our parents gathered and the first Mays made us salmon and vegetables! Yummy!
So.... life is great (minus the lack of sleep). We feel truly blessed by our family and friends who have been an incredible support system.

Visitors and Coming Home!

Sunday, August 15th
Nathan completed his first EVER diaper change... we figured out what meconium looks like. Ewww!
The Bombergers, a.k.a. Grandma and Grandpa came not only to see their grandson again, but also brought Lunch for Nathan.
Laura Yoder, also bearing the gift of a sling for us to use.
Crystal Blosser with Eric, Kyan and Kaide (not pictured)
Caitlin Miller with Steve and Zachary Halteman
Sara Halteman too of course. Due for her second baby soon.
The Mays, a.k.a. Oma and Yhaddy, came to see their first Grandson again. They brought Nathan dinner.
Monday, August 16th
How can you not love these cute feet.
Nathan's aunt Kristee.
Thanks to our church Park View for your encouragement, prayers, and of course.... the beautiful flowers! A decorated hospital room is always nicer.
Packed and ready to introduce Noah to the "real world" a.k.a. Our car, I81, Rt. 11 and our home.
Noah in the car seat and loving it (whew). Ready for his first car ride.
Tired of Noah accidentally scratching himself. So out came the baby fingernail clippers.
Dad giving the baby a little stimulation so we hopefully won't be up as much at night! Loving his tiny feet.
Noah sleeps easily, but really likes being wrapped up and still. So... the swing became more of a bed only... but at least it makes sounds too. Thanks Laura Yoder and Family.
Joel and Julianne provided us with our first meal and friends at home. We finished the meal with brownies, ice cream and a chocolate berry puree! Yummy! We love our friends!
Now we are tired and ready to sleep in our bed with our beautiful "comforter" (Noah) by our side.

Pictures - Round 1

He's Here!

Noah Reese May was born this morning while you were probably still sleeping. 6:19 am after 6 hours of labor (almost 3 hours at home). He is beautiful and hungry. Mom is doing fine! Pictures to come soon. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers.

As We Wait...

As we wait for our "bundle of May" to arrive, we have never been so aware of how little we know about our lives. God is truely the only One who knows when this baby will make his or her appearance. God is the One who knows how my labor will actually progress. And God is the only One who will give us the strength and wisdom to become the parents we have always prayed that we'd amount to. I am humbled by these thoughts and by all of the prayers and support we have recieved throughout this entire pregnancy. Thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way and will continue to provide support when we are finally holding our baby in our arms!

Tired of Fruit?

The new slideshow.... we call it...."WAITING"

"How Big Is It" Slideshow

I decided to use a slideshow for the "How big is it" pictures from now on... it is neat to see the miracle of life through growth comparisons like these. So be sure to check in weekly for the newest picture addition to the slideshow.
